An extraordinary event -The Hidden art project - the complete palette - Watt en Schlick
On 25.2.2022 RAUM AUF ZEIT organized the indoor placemaking project "nutzen.". The focus was on young, regional initiatives, local artists and North German temporary use agencies that presented themselves and their projects in vacant spaces in Oldenburg's city center. The different perspectives made it possible to experience the potential of creative interim use for the cultural scene and urban design.
The newly founded art collective "Einfach Nein" exhibited the results of its open studios in the afternoon in the former Photo Dose store at Staustr. 16. Next door in Baumgartenstraße, the "Oldenburger Portal" was present to talk about its work as an online platform for Oldenburg's creative artists.
At the main venue in Lange Str. 74 the exhibition "zwischen_nutzen. (from 16.-23.03.2022, a total of 533 visitors) was open. In it, 22 Künstler:innen exhibited their diverse works in a 3-storey collective exhibition. The art exhibitions of the day gave established artists space to present their works as well as many artists who exhibited publicly for the first time. The interim use agencies ZwischenZeitZentrale Bremen and ZwischenRaumNutzung Hannover were also present in the empty spaces and engaged in an intensive exchange with visitors on the topic of "interim use".
The conclusion of "nutzen. - Day of Creative Interim Use belonged to the pioneers of interim use: In a lively exchange with the audience, the initiatives "The Hidden Art Project", "Freizeitlärm e.V.", "Watt en Schlick Fest" and "Die Komplette Palette" shared their experiences and reported on the pitfalls and potentials of interim use.
The aftershow party was made up on 22.04.22 at the Metro Club with the DJ collective "DirrrtyDisco" of the Bremen interim use club p.ara.
